The law of contracts for work is of immense practical relevance and the current Staudinger commentary of sections 631 ff German Civil Code (BGB) duly considers this area of law in its entirety. This revised edition does not only offer updated information - for example the new "Forderungssicherungsgesetz", coming into effect as from 1 January 2009 - for the practitioner of building law, but is also a professional examination of the diverse material. The law of community of part owners is of significant importance for those in practice. This law is especially relevant in real estate law. There are, however, numerous other laws and obligations that are subject to the provisions of sections 741 ff German Civil Code (BGB). Due to the fact that the existing law of lottery has been significantly influenced by general lottery regulations (in effect since 1.1.2008), these regulations are also discussed in detail.
